Bosphorus Line: Bebek to Emirgan
This stretch of the European Bosphorus shore is the classic walking route for locals. The path hugs the water the whole way: waterfront mansions and groves on one side, ship traffic and the Anatolian Fortress across the strait on the other. The walls of Rumeli Fortress make a striking midpoint stop, and Emirgan Grove — especially during the April Tulip Festival — provides the most colourful finale.
