Along the Seine: Notre-Dame to the Eiffel Tower

Paris, France · Paris walking route

The history of Paris is written along the banks of the Seine, and this route walks that line from end to end. It begins with Notre-Dame on the Île de la Cité, calls at the stained glass of Sainte-Chapelle, passes the glass pyramid of the Louvre and pauses on the pond-side chairs of the Tuileries. After the obelisk at Concorde it follows the river past the gilded statues of Pont Alexandre III to the final straight towards the Eiffel Tower — all along the UNESCO-listed banks of the Seine.
